A few days ago we lost a legend in actor Bill Nunn, most known for his role as Radio Raheem in filmmaker Spike Lee's Do The Right Thing. His passing, during yet another troubling time full of police brutality, hits the most as police brutality is what ended Radio Raheem's life in the film. So the team pays tribute to a good man, actor, and also the one guy who finally brought Robbie Roberson to the big screen. Rest easy, Mr. Nunn.
End Of The Summer Days
Yeah, we know we've been pretty quiet this summer but you can blame life for that. But in the mean time, let's try to squeeze out as much left of the summer as we can. New comics coming soon.
And you can purchase this as an art print at our Society6 store!
"Time For A Change"
The "Words" half of the RT crew was able to to take part in a Black Lives Matter rally today in OKC that also featured the Reverend Jesse Jackson.
There Can Be Only One
Yesterday we lost a legend we thought we would never lose. Hell, Sean had a theory that Prince was a Highlander ("Was there any sign of lightening near Paisley Studios? No? Then he's not gone, dammit!").
But as we celebrate the legacy of Prince Rogers Nelson, the group has decided on one thing: That there can only be ONE Purple Rain. ("See? Highlander!")
So if you don't hear from Future Vandross for a while, no worries. He'll be well taken cared of. We just gotta keep him out of sight for a couple of months and then he can go back to dirtying ya'll Sprites.
In other news, we're coming back next week! A new comic drops AND we just started up our own Instagram page as well! So make sure to go follow us there for sketches and more!
International Women's Day
Last year, one person proved that not all heroes wore capes, but also green army jackets. That person was Angel. So of course it’s only right we celebrated not only her greatness but the greatness of all the ladies of the world.
Happy International Women’s Day!
Also shout out to Manga Studio 5.
